Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 25 August 2026
These terms govern your use of https://before-and-after.ro, the appointments you book through it and the services we provide in the salon. Please read them before booking. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under Romanian and European law. If any provision of these terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection rule, that rule applies and the rest of the terms remain in force.

2. What this site offers
The site presents our services, team, indicative prices and contact details, and lets you submit an online booking request through the Scisso form embedded on the booking page and on the stylist pages. The services themselves are provided only at our salon in Timișoara.
The site does not sell products at a distance and does not currently take online payments. You pay in the salon, after the service. If we enable online payment, this will be stated explicitly during booking, together with the conditions that apply.
3. How a booking works
You can book online through the form on this site, or by phone on 0771 107 948.
- Submitting the form is a booking request, not a confirmed appointment. It becomes a firm appointment only once we confirm it, by message or by phone. We may decline or propose another time when the slot is no longer available, when the service requested does not fit the time reserved, or when the stylist you chose is unavailable.
- Before you submit, you can review and correct the details you entered. After confirmation you receive your appointment details, and about 24 hours beforehand you receive a reminder SMS.
- The contract for the service is between you and Before & After Look SRL. The booking form is provided by Scisso, a platform operated by KodeKind S.R.L., which is our technology provider and is not a party to the contract between us. How your data is handled in this process is described in our Privacy Policy.
- Please arrive at the agreed time. If you are more than 15 minutes late we may not be able to perform the full service booked, so as not to affect the appointments that follow. In that case we will offer you a shorter service or a new appointment.
4. Cancellation, rescheduling and no-shows
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment, by phone or message. It lets us offer the slot to someone else.
We do not charge any fee for late cancellation or for a no-show. Where no-shows are repeated, we reserve the right to ask for phone confirmation of future appointments, or for a deposit which is deducted from the price of the service performed.
If we are the ones who have to cancel or move an appointment, for reasons such as illness, a stylist being unavailable, or a problem at the premises, we will tell you as soon as we can and offer you the first available slot.
5. Right of withdrawal
A booking request sent through the site commits you to nothing and involves no payment, so it is not a distance contract within the meaning of Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014. Directive 2011/83/EU, on which that Ordinance is based, gives the example of a consumer phoning to request a hairdressing appointment. Whatever the classification, we give you something simpler: you can cancel any appointment free of charge, at any time, up to the moment the service starts, on the terms in section 4. You pay nothing until the service is performed.
For academy courses you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of enrolment under Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014, without giving a reason. You can tell us by any unequivocal statement, at [email protected] or by phone, and we will send you the model withdrawal form on request. If you expressly asked us to begin the course within that period and confirmed that you would lose the right of withdrawal once it was fully performed, the right ends on completion, under art. 16(1)(a) of Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014. If you withdraw part-way, you owe only the value of what was actually delivered.
6. Prices and payment
- All prices shown on the site are in Romanian lei (RON) and include all applicable taxes. We charge no booking fee.
- The prices shown are indicative starting prices. The final price depends on the length and density of your hair, the complexity of the work and the amount of product needed.
- Your stylist tells you the final price before starting, and it does not change afterwards without your agreement. If additional work turns out to be needed along the way, we ask you before carrying it out.
- If the final price we tell you before starting does not suit you, you can stop there, owing nothing and with no consequence for future bookings.
- Payment is made in the salon, after the service. You receive a fiscal receipt for every payment, and an invoice on request.
7. Health, safety and what you tell us
Colouring, bleaching, facial treatments, laser hair removal and brow styling use chemicals or equipment that can, in some people, cause allergic or irritant reactions.
- Before we start, please tell us about any known allergy, previous reaction to hair dye or cosmetic products, skin or scalp condition, ongoing medical treatment, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any recent chemical work on your hair, including work done elsewhere.
- This information is essential to your safety. Where there is a genuine reason connected with your safety, we may decline or postpone the work. We explain why, you pay nothing for the declined appointment, and we offer you the first available date.
- If an unexpected reaction appears after a service, contact us as soon as possible and, if symptoms are significant, see a doctor. The information on this site is general and is not medical advice.
We cannot take account of what you do not tell us. What you tell us about your health, about reactions you have had and about work done elsewhere is the only basis on which we can judge whether a service can be performed safely and how it must be adapted. Please answer us fully and accurately, at later appointments too, because these things change.
If harm occurs or is made worse because you did not tell us something you knew and we had asked about, or because you did not follow the aftercare instructions we gave you, compensation is reduced to the share of the harm attributable to us, under art. 1371 and art. 1534 of the Romanian Civil Code. This does not relieve us of responsibility for our own mistakes.
Sensitivity test before colouring
Hair colour products contain substances that can cause allergic reactions, including in people who have coloured their hair for years with no trouble at all. Their packaging carries the warning required by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetic products: "Hair colourants can cause severe allergic reactions. Read and follow instructions."
We carry out a sensitivity test free of charge, on request, at least 48 hours before your appointment. You can ask us for it at any time, without giving a reason. We particularly recommend it if you have never coloured your hair, if you have ever reacted to a cosmetic product, or if we are changing the product used until now. We go through all the situations in which the test is advisable before your first colour service, at the consultation in the salon.
We do not use oxidative colour products on people under 16, because the manufacturers do not intend them for that age.
Children are welcome in the salon when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who remains responsible for supervising them. Services for minors are provided only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
8. Laser hair removal and facial treatments
These services use high intensity light equipment or active substances on the skin, and they are handled differently from hairdressing services. The following applies to them in addition:
- Consultation before the first session. The first session starts with a consultation, in which we go through your medical history and the contraindications and explain the risks and side effects of the procedure. We do not begin the treatment before that conversation.
- Minimum age. We do not perform laser hair removal on people under 18. Equipment intended to produce a permanent change in appearance may not be used below that age.
- Contraindications. There are situations in which we cannot perform these services, or have to postpone them, among them pregnancy and breastfeeding, certain medications, recent sun or sunbed exposure, and active skin conditions in the area to be treated. We check them with you at the consultation in the salon, and the information has to be confirmed before every session, not only the first.
- Aftercare is part of the treatment. You get the instructions in writing and we ask you to follow them exactly.
- The result. Laser treatment reduces hair growth durably, over successive sessions. How many sessions are needed, and the result, depend on the colour and thickness of the hair, the area treated and hormonal factors. At the consultation we tell you what is realistic in your case.
9. Results, photographs and site content
- The photographs and videos on this site show real work done by our team. The result you can achieve depends on the structure, colour, history and condition of your own hair, so individual results may differ. We always discuss with you, before starting, what is realistic to achieve in one session.
- We publish photographs of clients only with their agreement, given in the salon. Details, and how to withdraw that agreement, are in our Privacy Policy.
- All content on the site, meaning the text, photographs, videos, design, logo and graphics, is protected by copyright and belongs to Before & After Look SRL or is used with the rights holders' permission. You may view it and share links to it, but reproducing, copying or using it commercially without our prior written permission is not allowed.
- Opening hours, the service list and team availability can change. We make every effort to keep the information current, but please confirm by phone anything that matters to you.
10. Using the site
We provide the site for your personal use. Please do not use it to submit false or automated booking requests, to attempt unauthorised access to our systems or those of our providers, to scrape content automatically for commercial purposes, or to disrupt its operation. We may restrict access where we find such use.
11. Links to third-party sites
The site links to third-party services such as Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook and the Scisso booking platform. Once you go there, their terms and policies apply, and we do not control them. We recommend reading them.
12. What we undertake and what we cannot guarantee
We undertake to carry out the service with the care, skill and means expected of a professional in this field, using professional products and following the manufacturers' instructions. That is the nature of our obligation under art. 1481 of the Romanian Civil Code: an obligation of diligence, to use every necessary means, not an obligation to guarantee a particular aesthetic result.
The shade achieved, how far the hair lifts, the texture, how long the work lasts and how the colour develops depend on the structure, porosity, chemical history and condition of your hair, on products used before at home or in another salon, and on how you care for your hair afterwards. These are factors we assess but do not control. For that reason we do not guarantee that a reference photograph can be reproduced, or that the result you want can be achieved in a single session.
Before we start, your stylist tells you what is realistic, over how many sessions and at what price. If what is realistic is not what you wanted, you can stop there and you owe nothing.
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way for death or personal injury caused by our fault, for fraud or gross negligence, for non-conformity of the services provided, or in any other case where the law does not permit liability to be limited.
If the work did not turn out as agreed, tell us as soon as possible, ideally before you leave the salon or within the first five days. This is not a formality: the sooner we know, the more we can put right, and if the hair is worked on at home or in another salon in the meantime we can no longer establish what happened or repair it. The period above is a recommendation, not a deadline after which you lose your rights.
The first thing we offer you is to redo the work free of charge, with the same stylist or a different one, as you prefer. If redoing it is not possible, you are entitled to a refund of the price of the service or a proportionate price reduction, under art. 15 of Government Ordinance no. 21/1992. These options do not restrict your right to claim damages as provided by law.
Your belongings in the salon
We provide a coat rack and, for chemical work, a protective gown. Please do not keep valuables on you during the service. Clothing and personal items you keep beside you remain in your care; we do not take them into safekeeping. If we do damage a garment or an item of yours through our own fault during the service, tell us there and then: we cover the cleaning, and if it cannot be cleaned, the value of the item.
The site and the booking platform
The booking form is operated by a third-party provider. If it does not work, or shows you no slots, call us and we will take your booking by phone, as a priority. We provide the site as a tool for information and booking and cannot keep it available without interruption or free of errors. The starting prices and the slots shown are indicative; the firm price and the firm time are the ones we confirm to you before the work.
13. Complaints and dispute resolution
If something is wrong, please raise it with us first, at [email protected] or 0771 107 948. We respond within 30 calendar days.
If we cannot reach a solution, you can turn to the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), anpc.ro, or use the alternative dispute resolution (SAL) procedure at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro. Our participation in an ADR procedure is voluntary and decided case by case.
14. Governing law and competent courts
These terms and the relationship between us are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts where you live or before the Romanian courts that have jurisdiction under the law, and we may bring proceedings against you only before the courts where you live. For clients who are not consumers, the courts of Timișoara, Romania have jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our services, processes or legal requirements change. The version that applies to your appointment is the one published at the time you submit your booking request. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
